Travel by bus or coach
National Express service 440 runs from London to Manchester, stopping at
Buxton, 6 miles from Chelmorton.
From Derby, Nottingham and Manchester the 'Transpeak' bus service,
stops at Chelmorton (the bus stop is a 10 minute walk from Swallow Barn).

Travel by air
Manchester and East Midlands airports are both about 1 hour drive. Car hire
is available from the airports.
From Manchester Airport a regular rail service runs to Manchester city centre,
from where you can get a train to Buxton. Alternatively, the 199 Skyline
bus travels direct to Buxton from the airport. www.manchesterairport.co.uk
From East Midlands Airport a half hourly bus service runs to Derby city,
from where you can get a Transpeak (TP) bus to Chelmorton. www.eastmidlandsairport.com
